The information we collect comes directly from you and from publicly available sources such as Companies House where applicable. 

How will we use the information about you?

  • to verify your identity as required for anti-money laundering checks

  • to communicate by post, email or telephone

  • to understand needs and how they may be met

  • to maintain records

  • to process financial transactions

Who we share your personal information with?

Oakford Advisors Limited will not share your information for marketing purposes with other companies. In order to deliver services, we may be asked to provide information to a third party such as HMRC, a letting agent or mortgage provider on your behalf. Where you have requested that we undertake the service you are also deemed to have given permission for us to share information with the third parties concerned. 

How long we retain your personal information for?

We shall not retain any personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the purpose(s) for which that data is collected, held, and processed. Holding personal information outside the UK

We have put in place commercially reasonable and appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected data security breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected breach where we are legally required. 

Using our website and cookies 

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity. Currently Oakford Advisors Limited does not use cookies. Should we decide to use cookies in the future a pop-up box will seek your consent when you access the website.
